What makes people think "their" party is outside the global conspiracy?
My understanding was that at the time our founding doents were being authored, political parties were discouraged, as was active campaigning. The hope was that "the office would find the man" rather than having this arrangement that we have currently where it takes millions and millions of dollars to campaign. As things stand, it is not even possible to have "the best" candidates seeking office - as there is a necessary exclusion based upon the requisite "millions of dollars" to get to first base. Also, I agree with a prior response that cited corporate structuring as playing a very definite hand in the current dynamic of things; but I do believe that our quagmire is the result of networked forces much larger than those on a corporate or multinational level. In fact, after all of the drama and activity during any election, I am left with a sense that there is only a PERCEPTION OF CHOICE - and no real choice. What a sad state of affairs in this late great country.
