My turtle won't eat vegetation very much anymore what do i do ?

He's a painted turtle and is a juvenile (4 3/4 inches) and he use to love his aquatic plants and romaine lettuce but he doesn't seem interested anymore. He is still eating his fish and shrimp meal worms and crickets but he will not eat very much vegetation. What could be the problem?
