My 9 month old cries when it's time for bed!?

She was recently able to go down on her own for a couple of months, then about 2 months ago she went through a week of night terrors. After that horrible experience she went back to going down by herself again. Out of nowhere about 2 weeks ago she started screaming her head off when we would put her to bed and she'll only go to sleep if we rock her. I dont know what to do it's put a ripple through our nightly routine! And now that she can stand on her own as soon as she's in the crib she pulls herself up. Any advice would be great! It's tough because my husband and i are overseas so family help isn't really an option for us.
