I took my baby out sledding earlier today. Tonight his cheeks are still red?

i feel bad. i bundled him up! Every part of his body was covered except for his forehead and cheeks (he had on gles, hat, scarf. What could this be? I took him in the afternoon.. its night now. they've never been red before. i just put some lotion on him before he went to sleep.What could this be?
