How about Social Security?
One of the best ways to strengthen Social Security is to expand our middle-cl/manufacturing job base, which is part of the Stimulus Package for infrastructure projects, and TARP funding that is designed to promote lending for small businesses. Another positive step is the crackdown on tax evaders who hide money in off-shore accounts, which the Obama administration has initiated through its Treasury and Justice Departments. The mive outsourcing of American jobs under the last three Republican administrations was foolish at best and, at worst, dangerous for our economy and for programs like Social Security. I'm a strong supporter of President Obama and am waiting to see how he deals with the problem of outsourcing, which he has mentioned in several town hall meetings or speeches. If our Congressmen or Senators have invested in the companies who profit from outsourcing or hiring illegal immigrants, it may be difficult for President Obama to get them to cooperate unless we, the voters, lobby our representatives vigorously.
