Still Think Riding on the Sidewalk is Safe?

The problem is not children who are merely riding on the sidewalk; the problem is the parents who let them race on the sidewalk. The racing would be dangerous on the street or the sidewalk for the same reasons. The racing should be kept to an empty parking lot, etc. Riding on the street at a reasonable pace while looking out for those ahead is NOT a problem. If a child isn't old enough to do that, then they shouldn't be riding the bike in public yet anyway.
